A wedding, graduation, grand opening, whatever the event you wish to celebrate, add the joy of a live butterfly release to make it complete. Small individual envelopes of butterflies are distributed and opened. After the envelopes are opened, the butterflies will take a moment to adjust to the temperature, and then take flight. Be sure someone has a camera in hand for this will surely be a part of the event you'll want to remember.

At a time when so many of these creatures are being destroyed by the overuse of pesticides, you will be contributing to the restoration of the population in your area. Just as a humming bird fills us with awe and wonder, so does a butterfly. Many of the same plants attract both birds and butterflies. Perhaps you could designate a small section of your garden to plants that encourage butterflies to visit without harm.
